Police think they nabbed the suspect who held up a Dunkin' Donuts in Glastonbury, then hit a D'Angelo's in Wethersfield minutes later. They also arrested the woman they said drove the getaway car.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, the Dunkin' Donuts at 2751 Main St. in Glastonbury was robbed at gunpoint.

Employees described the suspect as a thin white man, 6'3" tall, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a black cloth over his face. He had a small black handgun.

Just 25 minutes later in Wethersfield, a D'Angelo's Sandwich Shop at 1345 Silas Deane Highway was held up at gunpoint.

A description of the vehicle seen leaving the scene was broadcast to police.

A Rocky Hill Police Officer spotted the vehicle a short time later, pulled it over and took Jonathan Dydyn, 27, of Newington, into custody. They turned him over to Wethersfield Police and has was charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, weapons in a motor vehicle and carrying of pistol or revolver without a permit.

Police also arrested Theresa Spearin, 35, of New Britain, who was driving the car, police said. She was charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. They are both due in court on Tuesday.

The description of the D'Angelo's robbery suspect and the crime itself fits similar descriptions of other robberies that have occurred recently in Newington, Berlin, Glastonbury and Plainville, police said.

Detectives from those police departments responded to the Wethersfield Police Department to interview both suspects in the Wethersfield robbery.
