Part of Route 202 in Torrington is closed between Center and Maud streets after a serious crash this afternoon, according to Torrington police.
Someone had to be extricated from the car and LifeStar medical transport helicopter was called, but it was not unavailable.
Police said the side streets of Willow and Wall streets are also impacted to keep people from accessing the main intersection where the crash happened.
