A 14-year-old boy was killed when his bicycle and motor vehicle crashed in Waterbury early Tuesday morning.
Police identified the victim as Alex Suarez. Officers found him in the street with a serious head injury when they responded to Cooke Street and Chase Avenue around 5:15 a.m.
Suarez was transported to Waterbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:49 a.m., according to police.
Police are investigating and the crash reconstruction unit has been assigned the case.
Police said the intersection has reopened.
