1 Dead in Farmington Industrial Accident: Reports

A 65-year-old Wisconsin man has died after a bundle of aluminum hit him in the head at Stanley Security Access Technologies at 65 Scott Swamp Road in Farmington on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the victim, Neil Hynick, 65, of Schofield, Wisconsin, was hit in the head when a bundle being removed from the truck hit him in the head.

Hynick, the driver of the truck that was carting the bundles, was brought to John Dempsey Hospital, where he later died.

Police were dispatched to the company at 2:36 p.m. and Farmington police spokesman Lt. Colin Ryan said the incident appears to have been accidental. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration is investigating.
