3 Teens Hurt in 100 MPH Crash

A Putnam teen was driving, police said.

Three teens are hospitalized and in serious condition after a crashing a stolen car from Connecticut in Massachusetts, police said.

Connecticut State Police broadcast that they were pursuing a gray Dodge Sebring on Route 395 North near the Massachusetts state line in Webster on Friday morning.

An officer in Douglas, Massachusetts saw the car traveling more than 100 miles per hour at 1:25 a.m. on Webster Street, but lost sight of it because of the speed it were traveling at, police said.

As the officer approached 68 Webster St., he saw debris in the street.

The car had gone off the road, hit a fence, sheared a utility pole and rolled several times, police said.

A 15-year-old Putnam, Connecticut boy was driving, police said. He had been ejected and was seriously hurt.

A 16-year-boy from Dudley, Massachusetts was in the front passenger seat, He was also ejected and seriously injured.

Skyelynn Mathieu, 17, of Ware, Massachusetts, was trapped in the back seat area and had to be extricated, police said. She was also seriously injured.

Police said the vehicle was stolen out of Grosvenor Dale, Connecticut. All three people who were in the car were brought to UMass Medical Center, University Campus and listed in serious condition.

Douglas Police, the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit and the District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
