14-Year-Old Behind the Wheel Crashes Into School Bus: Police

Authorities are investigating after a 14-year-old got behind the wheel of a car in New Haven on Tuesday and crashed into three other vehicles, including a school bus, according to police.

According to police, the teen lost control and struck two other cars and a school bus in the area of Whalley and Sherman avenues in New Haven around noon Tuesday.

The teen was taken to Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police said her mother met her at the hospital.

No one else was hurt. Police said the school bus was empty.

Police are investigating the crash.
