15 Hospitalized in 22-Car New London Crash

Fifteen people were hospitalized in a 22-car crash on Interstate 95 in New London on Sunday morning.

Icy roads were a factor in the accident that sent two people to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to New London fire officials. They're expected to recover. The rest had minor injuries. The accident was reported at 9:15 a.m. and crews left the scene by 10:55 a.m.

All parties were taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London for treatment.

Police have not released the identities or the ages of the victims.

Multiple ambulances responded from area towns like Groton, Mystic River and Waterford.

The crash remains under investigation.
