Waterbury Police have found the suspect in the murder of David Caban on Proctor Street on May 12.

U.S. Marshals captured Joseph Walker, 23, in Schenectady, New York on Thursday afternoon.

Police said Walker is suspected of shooting Caban in the head.

The two men knew each other, according to police, and the shooting was a drug-related robbery.

Police filed an arrest warrant for Walker on May 25.

Walker had been living in Waterbury at the time of the murder, but the search led New York City, where Walker had lived in the past, then to Schenectady.

Walker is being held in New York as a fugitive from justice and will be extradited to Connecticut.

The bond was set at $2 million when the warrant was issued.
