2 Charged With Burglarizing Vacant Bristol Home

Bristol Police

Police said Jahquan Totein and Ashley Colon broke into a vacant house in Bristol.

Bristol police arrested a man and a woman as the two tried to escape through the window of a vacant home just before 10 a.m. on Monday.

An officer saw damage to the back door of the building and called for additional officers.

In their search of the residence, they found Ashley Colon, 23, of Bristol, who was arrested immediately, police said.

Jahquan Totein, 19, was arrested after a brief foot chase.

The two have been charged with burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. Colon was also charged with marijuana possession while Totein was also charged with possession of cocaine.

The home is assigned to a routine patrol list because it has been burglarized before, according to police.

Both Colon and Totein were held on $50,000 bond and are due in court tomorrow.
