2 Charged With Trying to Buy Marijuana on Craig's List

Drug officers arrested two people in the same parking lot over a two-day span.

For the second time this week, drug officers have arrested a person accused of placing an ad on Craig's List, an online ad site, to buy marijuana.

Nicholas Fox, 22, of Wethersfield, was arrested on Thursday.

According to the East Central Narcotics Task Force, Fox placed an ad on “Craig’s List” stating that he was looking to purchase marijuana.

Investigators found the ad and set up a meeting place.

Fox was arrested in the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant on Main Street in Glastonbury.

Fox was charged with criminal attempt/possession of more than half-ounce of marijuana.

Bond was set at $1,000.

On Wednesday, the East Central Narcotics Task Force arrested Orin Harris, 22, of Bloomfield in the same parking lot.

They said he too placed an ad on "Craig's List" stating that he was looking to purchase marijuana. Task force members said they also seized Hydrocodone pills from inside of the Harris' vehicle.

He was charged with conspiracy/possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of narcotics and narcotics not in the original container.

Bond was set at $1500.00 non-surety.
