Two people fell in separate incidents at Sleeping Giant Park in Hamden.

One person was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital to be treated for a hip injury after slipping and falling on Tower Trail.

A second hiker was climbing a wall on the Blue Trail when a rock fell and struck him in the hand.  The rock caused a cut to the man's hand, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Both incidents happened around 1:45 p.m. and the two people were not on the trails together, according to officials from DEEP.
