Emergency crews were called to help two injured hikers at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden Wednesday.
Two people fell in separate incidents at Sleeping Giant Park in Hamden.
One person was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital to be treated for a hip injury after slipping and falling on Tower Trail.
A second hiker was climbing a wall on the Blue Trail when a rock fell and struck him in the hand. The rock caused a cut to the man's hand, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The man was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for X-rays.
Both incidents happened around 1:45 p.m. and the two people were not on the trails together, according to officials from DEEP.
