2 Seriously Injured in Cromwell Crash

Two people were seriously injured when a motorcycle and a car collided in Cromwell Saturday night, according to police.

Cromwell police said that they responded around 10:45 p.m. to the intersection of Main Street (Route 99) and Shadow Lane for reports of an accident. Witnesses reported that one of the motorcycle riders had been ejected.

When police arrived they found the passenger of the motorcycle suffering life threatening injuries and the operator with serious injuries. Both were transported to Saint Francis Hospital for treatment.

Police said the passenger was listed in critical condition and the driver was listed as stable. Neither one has been identified at this time.

The occupants of the car were evaluated on scene and none of them were injured, according to police.

Cromwell police and the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad is investigating. Main Street was closed between Court Street and Oakwood Manor for several hours and reopened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
