Watertown police are looking for two people from Waterbury wanted for charges of larceny, identity theft and forgery from check counterfeiting incidents back in October.
Police have outstanding warrants for Jennifer Torres, 43, and Brian Andujar, 29. They are accused of trying to deposit counterfeit checks into their bank accounts and withdraw the money, police said.
Torres is suspected of trying to deposit about $20,000 in two fraudulent transactions, police said. Andujar is accused of depositing a $400,000 check, according to police.
Their listed address is 17 Driggs Street in Waterbury, but police said the likely don't live there anymore but could be in the Waterbury area.
Torres has pending charges of two counts of attempt at first-degree larceny, three counts of second-degree identity theft, three counts of third-degree forgery.
Andujar is wanted on charges of attempt at first-degree larceny and third-degree forgery.
