21-Year-Old Accused of Hitting Pedestrian While Under the Influence

A 21-year-old woman suspected of hitting a pedestrian in Bristol on Thursday night is also accused of driving under the influence. 

Bristol Police responded to Pine and Emmett streets at 10:04 p.m. on Thursday and found 50-year-old Joyce Reagan-Walsh, of Bristol, who was suffering from a serious head injury. An ambulance was called and transported her to a trauma hospital in Hartford.

Police said it appears that Reagan-Walsh was crossing Pine Street near the Valero Gas Station when Marissa Rosner, 21 of Windsor, hit her with a 2001 Mercury Sable, police said.

During the preliminary investigation, police arrested Rosner.

The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was called in to investigate and police are asking witnesses to call the Bristol Police Department at 860-584-3032.
