Cop Accidently Shot After Armed Robbery



    Hartford police are investigating after a cop was accidentally shot while responding to an armed robbery Saturday night.

    According to police, two suspects entered a Subway restaurant at 467 Franklin Avenue, displayed weapons and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

    While officers responded to the incident, a gun accidentally discharged, striking an officer in the forearm.

    Police said it's unclear if the officer shot himself or was shot by another officer's gun.

    The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

    Authorities are investigating the robbery.
