3 Arrested at Quinnipiac after Hockey Team's Loss

Hamden police arrested three people at Quinnipiac University during a large campus gathering after the school's hockey team lost the national championship game to Yale.

Police told the New Haven Register that about 500 people gathered outside the library on Saturday night and three people were charged with disorderly conduct.

The newspaper reported that one student got into a fight with a campus security officer.

The names of the people arrested weren't available. A message seeking comment was left for a Hamden police captain Sunday.

Quinnipiac spokesman John Morgan said the university doesn't comment on campus arrests.

Yale beat Quinnipiac 4-0 Saturday to win the NCAA championship, after having lost to the Bobcats three times this season.
