Ansonia police have arrested three suspects in residential burglaries.

Police had been investigating burglaries from homes in the area in which electronics, money and jewelry were stolen.

On Friday, police from Ansonia and Derby conducted search warrants at 9 Crescent Street and 15 and 16 May Street and said they found several items that had been reported stolen.

Johnson and Lewis were arraigned at Derby Court on Monday. Cloud was able to post bond and was given a court date of Sept. 28.

Police said they expect to make additional arrests and they are trying to identify the owners of items officers were able to recover.

Police are also looking for the man who broke into an Xtra Mart on Monday morning and stole cash and cigarettes.

The store employees will conduct an inventory to determine what was taken.
