The three left lanes on I-91 North in Wethersfield were shut down following an accident Monday afternoon.
Multiple cars were in an accident on I-91 going northbound between exits 24 and 25.
Aetna Ambulance Service responded to the accident said six patients were taken to the hospital and two were receiving advanced life support care.
The delays cleared around 5:30 p.m.
