3 Oxford Schools to Dismiss Early Over Water Problems

This comes after a water main break on Christian Street.

    Three schools in Oxford dismissed early because a water main break prevented the schools from having water.

    Three schools in Oxford are dismissing early on Tuesday because there is no water after a water main break on Christian Street.

    Quaker Farms School is dismissing at 1:25 p.m. and there will be no afternoon pre-K or kindergarten.

    Oxford Center School will dismiss at 1:20 p.m. and Great Oak Middle School will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. 

    There will be no afternoon activities at any of the three schools.

    Officials from the school district said they do not know what the problem is.

    The three schools will follow their normal early dismissal times.

    The high school is not impacted by the water problem.
