Thirty campers and counselors were stung by bees at a nature center in Stamford on Thursday afternoon and an ambulance transported one person to the hospital.
Someone stepped on a bees nest around 3 p.m. on Thursday as the group was walking on a nature trial at Stamford Museum and Nature Center, according to the Turn of River Volunteer Fire Department.
A girl who had been stung several times was transported to Stamford Hospital by ambulance, officials said.
A school bus brought 28 other people to Stamford Hospital.
One person declined medical attention.
The injuries are minor, officials said.
