1 Dead, 4 Hurt in Bridgeport Shooting

    One is dead and three suffered non-life-threatening injuries in Bridgeport this afternoon.

    One person is dead and four people were injured in a shooting in front of T Mart at Trumbull and Reservoir avenues in Bridgeport on Tuesday afternoon.

    According to police, Christopher Pettway, 26, of Bridgeport was shot to death around 2:30 p.m. yesterday and four people who were with him were injured. 

    Juwan Edwards, 15, suffered a gunshot wound to  his buttocks; Aijaholn Tisdale, 19, who was shot in the leg; and Leroy Shaw, 15, was shot in the leg. All are from Bridgeport and none of the injuries were life threatening.

    Police also said Tamir Hamilton, 19, of Bridgeport came forward and reported being grazed in the ankle by a bullet.

    This morning, another of Pettway's friends was shot just blocks away from the original shooting scene.

    Sean Lawrence, 23, was shot in the leg while walking in the area of Reservoir and City View early this morning, police said. He told police that he was good friends with Pettway.
