4 Injured in Wallingford Car Crash

Police closed off the roadway after a car accident sent sent four people to the hospital Sunday in Wallingford.

Four people were injured in a crash on Route 68 and Barnes Road in Wallingford on Sunday evening.

Police received a call at 4:16 p.m. reporting the head-on collision between two cars. One car was going the wrong way, according to police.

Investigators said a man was driving one car and the other vehicle was carrying a man and two children.

All four victims were  taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The man traveling alone is in serious condition.

The roadway was closed as police investigate the cause of the crash.
