70 Years and Still Madly in Love

70 years ago Wednesday, Joseph and Helen Koziel of Orange walked down the aisle and became husband and wife.

Joseph remembers the first time he laid eyes on Helen. It was during a trip to New Haven. Helen was standing on a park bench.

"I thought some day, I'm going to meet her and that day came. It must have been God's will or something," said Joseph Koziel.

The two finally met again at a friend's wedding. Joseph still remembers his amazement when he saw Helen.

"It was Helen, sitting on the couch all by herself smiling, she's always smiling, and I introduced myself and I didn't know what to say, I was just confused and I couldn't believe it!," said Joseph.

The rest is history. The two got married and started their own family. 70 years later, the family has expanded, and Joseph and Helen's love has remained strong.

"We are always, always in love," said Joseph.

The two do everything together and manage to stay active even in their 90's!  Joseph is 97, and Helen is 93.

"We always had a great time. We always did things together, no matter where we went. We wouldn't go without each other," said Helen.

And that's their one piece of advice for all married couples.

"Do things together, and think of the other person all the time, too," said Helen.

That's what has kept them so hopelessly in love all these years.
