71-Year-Old Man Beats Off Thugs With Pipe

A 71-year-old Shelton man was just out for a little walk with his dog Tuesday night when three thugs demanded his money.

But the thugs had no idea who they were dealing with and the man fought back, the New Haven Register reports.

The victim, who has not been identified, fought the three men off with a metal pipe. Then the police came. Two of the suspects surrendered but one tried to get away, but the police dog caught up with him and bit him, police said.

While this worked out well for the Shelton man, police don’t recommend that you try and fight off muggers with a pipe.
