Break-in to Ask Out Gets Man Date (With Cops)

KXAS

A house break-in turns out to be an attempted ice breaker for a date.

A man pulled the old break-in, ask out trick in Kent, Sunday. But the only date he wound up with is a court date.

Milton Urieulluis Benitez, 24, crept into a Kent home on Sunday morning to court a 16-year-old girl, police told  the Register Citizen.

He allegedly scared the owner's son, who started crying. The owner woke up and chased Benitez out of the home, but could not catch him, the paper report.

But, Benitez had taken off his shoes and left them outside the house, which eventually led cops to him, police told the newspaper.

The brand is a  work shoe, which matched those worn by Benitez’s roommates and co-workers, police told the Register Citizen.  Then there were the dirt and pine needles in Benitez' bed.

Cops said Benitez claimed he had been sleepwalking, but admitted to trying to ask the teen out , the newspaper reports.

He also told cops he was being secretive because he was afraid other people would find out and tell his wife who lives in Mexico, the newspaper reports.
