An 81-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Ashford, according to state police.
Police said they were called to Cotswold Drive around 8 a.m. on Monday. The shooting was initially reported as accidental.
Life Star was called, but was canceled.
The man's name hasn't been released. Authorities sisy he was pronounced dead from an apparent gunshot wound at Windham Hospital.
