Amazing Video Shows Narrow Escape from Collapse

It took seconds for a gas station canopy to come crashing down under the weight of snow and ice.

Luckily, it came down about five seconds after a customer passed under it.

A YouTube video from a Shell station in Shelton shows just how close it was. Fast forward to 36 seconds into the video to see someone walk under the canopy and into the station -- just seconds before it collapsed.

Amazingly, no one was hurt. A postal truck parked under the canopy does not appear to have suffered even a scratch.

Friends of the gas station owners posted the video on YouTube.
