Crews tow the vehicle that drove off Route 8 southbound in Shelton Sunday.
A Bridgeport man was killed after his car drove off Route 8 in Shelton Sunday morning, State Police said.
29-year-old Laqman Asad's Honda Civic veered off the southbound side of the highway near exit 12, and crashed into a wooded area around 9:00 a.m.
Asad was the only person in the vehicle. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call State Police Troop I at 203-393-4200.
This is the second fatal crash on Route 8 in Shelton this weekend.
19-year-old Lawrence Morra of Stratford and 18-year-old Viviana Cavalli of Shelton were killed Friday night, after Morra hit a guard rail while exiting Route 8 northbound at exit 13. His car then went down an embankment and hit a tree. A backseat passenger survived the crash.
