Bad Play Date Ends in Drunken Arrest: Cops

A Milford woman is not likely to host another play date after police say she was found drunk and with crack in the play yard of a fast food restaurant.

Rose Marie Satterfield, 50, of Milford, was hosting the play date at her house on Tuesday and failed to bring the child she was watching home on time, police said. So the child’s mom called police.

Police went to find out what happened and learned Satterfield had left the house and was possibly drunk when she did so, police said.

So, they went to go look for her and found her car at a fast food restaurant.

She was in the play area with the child and was combative when police approached, police said. She also seemed to be drunk and had crack cocaine on her, police said.

The child is back with his or her mother and the Department of Children and Families were made aware of the incident.

Satterfield was arrested at 7:45 p.m. and has been charged with risk of injury, possession of narcotics, breach of peace and interfering with police. Bond was set at $500 and she is due in court on March 23.
