Bear Made Me Late for School Board

The Region 7 school board meeting got started a little later than usual on Wednesday night after a bear blocked Dan and Robert Jerram from their car in New Hartford, the Register Citizen reports.
The dog ate my homework might not fly as an excuse in the Northwestern Regional School District, but say the bear made you late and a couple school board members might back you up.
The Region 7 school board meeting got started a little later than usual on Wednesday night after a bear blocked Dan and Robert Jerram from their car in New Hartford, the Register Citizen reports.
They even took photos to show that there was a beary good reason for their tardiness.
“The bear was going from house to house, going through trash cans,” Dan’s wife, Carlene Jerram, told the Register Citizen. “The bear takes the trash into the woods. ... It was a little crazy.”
