Bloomfield Pedestrian Struck By Several Cars

A pedestrian was struck by several vehicles in Bloomfield.

Bloomfield Police say a man collapsed in the road while crossing a busy intersection and was then struck by several vehicles. 

Police responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Blue Hills Avenue and Cottage Grove Road. 

Police said it appears the male pedestrian had collapsed while crossing the street.  One or more cars then struck the man.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The investigation is ongoing and fault has yet to be determined.  The victim's information is being withheld pending positive identification and family notifications.
