Bob Maxon Continues Recovery After Heart Attack

As we reported Monday, Bob Maxon suffered a minor heart attack March 21 in morning while he was at work.

We are so happy to be able to report today that Bob's condition is stable.  Bob tells us that his current regimen consists of a lot of rest and recovery.

Bob began some cardiac rehabilitation this morning.  He is grateful for the outpouring of support from thousands of viewers through social media.  While the entire NBC Connecticut family misses Bob greatly, we are so glad he is at home, resting, and working to recover.

Bob vows to get better and come back stronger than ever when his doctors clear him to return to work.

Bob said that at the time he didn’t realize what the discomfort he was feeling was, only that he felt ill. It wasn’t until he went to urgent care to get treatment for what he thought were flu symptoms that he realized what happened.

The good news is that he thought to get it checked out and caught it early.

Bob spoke out about his condition in order to encourage everyone to educate themselves on the possible signs of a heart attack.  Bob also really wants everyone to find out if they have a family history of heart attacks and to talk to their doctor about why they need to know.
