Bob Maxon Returns to Work After Suffering Heart Attack

NBC Connecticut First Alert meteorologist Bob Maxon returned to work Monday after suffering a mild heart attack. He made his return debut on NBC Connecticut News at 6 a.m.

Bob began to feel ill while at work on March 21 and thought he was coming down with the flu. He went to a walk-in clinic where he was immediately diagnosed as having a heart attack.

Bob shared his personal story with his viewers in hopes that he could raise awareness about heart attacks and heart health. He has received thousands of messages of support from viewers across the country.

Over the past few weeks Bob has been at home recovering and undergoing cardiac rehabilitation, something he said he never thought he would have to deal with.

He said his story should be warning that not everyone experiences the symptoms of a heart attack the same way.
