Bodies Found in Southington House Were of Mother, Son

On Jan. 23, two bodies were found inside the house at 27 Cedar Drive in Southington.

On Tuesday, police said the office of the chief medical examiner has identified the deceased were mother and son and identified them as Mildred Gillan, 86,  and her 60-year-old son, William Gillan.

Both of them lived at the residence, according to police.

Mildred's death has been determined to be natural causes and there has been no official ruling on the cause of William’s death, pending further forensic studies.

There are no further details at this time.
