Police in Stamford have released the names of the two vicims of a murder-suicide that happened on Friday.

Two bodies were found Friday in a house on Long Ridge Road.

According to police, 57-year-old Susan Beran shot her 85-year-old mother Florence Beran, and then shot herself. The incident occurred sometime in the past 48 hours, police said.

A neighbor became concerned when the women hadn't been seen, and called police.

The mother was believed to have been suffering from Alzheimer's disease, police said.

The mother and daughter owed $50,000 in back taxes, and their house had recently been sold to pay off the tax debt, police said.  Investigators believe those financial problems may have led to the murder-suicide.
