Bozrah Homicide Victim Identified

A dead body was discovered in Bozrah on Tuesday morning.

Police have identified the man's whose body was found at a recreation field along Route 163 in Bozrah at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday as Darius Bishop, 28, of Norwich.

The medical examiner conducted an autopsy and ruled Bishop's death a homicide.

Police said on Wednesday that they believe Bishop was killed at the site, not dumped there.

The major crimes unit is investigating and wants to hear from anyone who was at Ray Hayward Memorial Field between 9 p.m. on Monday and 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

State police said they are following significant leads.
