Boil Water Advisory Lifted in Hebron

Connecticut Water lifted a boil water advisory in Hebron Tuesday afternoon.

The water company had advised about 78 customers of the London Park water system in Hebron to boil water after an equipment failure Monday.

Customers were affected on Carolyn Drive, Jan Drive, Laura Drive and London Road.  They were being urged to boil their tap water before using it for drinking, cooking and food preparation.

The advisory was issued as a precaution because of an equipment failure that allowed the pressure in the water system to drop below 20 pounds per square inch.

Connecticut Water officials tested the water, and results Tuesday showed the water was safe to drink, according to Connecticut Water.
