Police Give All Clear at Omni Hotel

    Police are investigating a bomb threat in New Haven.

    The Omni Hotel on Temple Street in New Haven was evacuated for several hours after someone made a bomb threat on Monday afternoon, police said.

    The bomb threat was made at 3:36 p.m. against the hotel, located at 155 Temple St.  Temple St. was closed between Chapel and Crown streets, police said.

    The bomb squad checked out a suspicious package in the hotel's parking garage Monday evening and determined it was not dangerous.  They gave the all clear, and people were allowed to return to the hotel around 6:30 p.m.
