A 2-year-old boy is in critical condition after being found face-down in a memorial reflection pool in Cornwall.

Police said the boy’s father was doing some yard work at the family’s Bald Mountain home on Sunday afternoon, turned away for a minute and then saw his son face-down in a 2-foot deep reflection pool.

The father pulled his son from the water, started CPR immediately, got the little boy breathing and called 911.

Emergency crews responded and called LifeStar, which transported the toddler to Hartford Children's Hospital in critical, but stable condition.

Police said on Monday that the boy’s condition had not changed.

The pool was made as a memorial for the grandmother, who passed away a few years ago, according to officials.
