Bridgeport and Fairfield police are investigating reports of a carjacking this afternoon.
An elderly man reported that a man with a gun approached him at Fitness Edge in Fairfield and made him head to Seaside Park in Bridgeport, where he was let out of the car, police said.
Then the carjacker fled in the victim’s car. It does not appear the man was injured.
The victim reached out to Bridgeport police and the two police departments are working together to determine what happened.
