Bristol Police Search for Man After Stabbing

Police in Bristol are searching for a man who officers believe stabbed a woman in the neck on Saturday morning.

Officers say they received a 911 call reporting a woman was injured on Landry Street near Divinity Street around 8:00 a.m.

When police arrived, they say they found a woman bleeding from a knife wound on her neck. The woman was transported to the hospital where she is being treated for her injury. She is expected to survive.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by members of the department's patrol and crime divisions. As a result, Bristol Police have issued an active arrest warrant for 29-year-old Christopher Howard for crimes of assault and unlawful restraint.

Howard is described as a man who stands at approximately 5'10" with a slim build and red hair.

Police say he is known to frequent the Bristol and Waterbury areas.
