Bristol police have located an attempted murder suspect in Florida.
Luis Ramos was taken into custody in Kissimmee, Florida on Thursday, according to police.
Ramos tried to shoot his girlfriend during a domestic dispute on Shawn Drive on Monday, police said.
A woman at the home told police that Ramos aimed a revolver at her and pulled the trigger multiple times, but each time it malfunctioned and didn't fire. Ramos discarded two guns and fled the scene by the time police arrived, police said.
Neither the woman nor the couple's 4-year-old child were injured and police recovered the discarded weapons.
Police issued a warrant for Ramos' arrest on Tuesday. The charges against Ramos include attempted murder, threatening, risk of injury to a minor and criminal use of a firearm.
He will be held in Florida pending extradition back to Connecticut.
