Five children were sent to the hospital after their school bus collided with a car in Hartford.
According to Hartford school officials, a car slammed into the side of the bus at the intersection of Laurel Street and Farmington Avenue around 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
Six students from West Middle Elementary School were on the bus at the time of the crash. Five were taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center for observation, school officials said. The other student went home with a parent.
