Bus Driver Charged With Threatening Students

Police called the driver's behavior "inappropriate"

A Westport school bus driver has been arrested for what police called inappropriate behavior on a bus full of students.

Daniel Florio, 44, of Norwalk, turned himself in to police Tuesday.

According to investigators, the incident took place Oct. 18 on Florio's DATTCO bus. As many as 25 middle school students were involved in the incident, police said.

Florio is charged with risk of injury to a minor, threatening, and breach of peace.

Police began an investigation after several parents complained about Florio's irrational behavior on a bus ride home from school Oct. 18, according to the Minuteman News Center, an online publication in Westport.
