Pedestrian Struck in New Britain Dies

An 81-year-old man has died after being hit by a school bus on Clark Street in New Britain on Wednesday morning, according to police and officials from the bus company, Dattco.

The man's name has not been released.

The crash happened near a crosswalk and investigators believe the man was trying to cross the street when he was struck.

The man's cane was in the middle of the street while police investigated.

Three students from New Britain Alternative High School were onboard when the elderly man was struck, bus company officials said.
