Call to End the Partying at Western CT State

It's a rally, and this would no longer be on campus if school officials get what they want.

April 20, or 4/20, has been known as a day of partying, but the group Connecticut Turning to Youth and Families wants to change that.

The group held a rally Monday night at Western Connecticut State University, calling for alcohol- and drug-free dorms on campus.

The group's goal is to offer support to people trying to overcome addictions and to show the benefits of a lifestyle free of alcohol and drugs.

Activists, high school and college students took part in Monday night's rally.

The group argues that sober housing on campus could provide an outlet for addicts to beat their demons and show students they can have fun and succeed without alcohol or drugs.
