Car Crashes into East Hartford Home

A gaping hole is all that is left as evidence after a car crashed into the front of an East Hartford home early Sunday morning.

According to the homeowner, he and his son were asleep when they heard a large pop around 4 a.m. at their Woodycrest Dr. home.

When they went to investigate, they discovered a car had come crashing through the front of the home. Neither were injured.

“I was in shock, said neighbor Recina Reynolds. “ I ran to my front door and looked out. All of the neighbors are coming out of their house and we were all in like disarray, crazy, because you see this in the movies. You don’t see this in person.”

Police are on scene waiting for the building inspector to come and determine the amount of damage to the home. The gas company is also on scene.

The driver of the crash walked away uninjured. He has not been charged.
