Crews responded to a car fire on Interstate 95 north in Branford Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to the car fire near exit 54.
Traffic was able to get by on the right shoulder, according to the Department of Transportation, but it caused some traffic delays.
Route 1 was also seeing some backup as of 2:40 p.m.
There was another motor vehicle accident on I-95 earlier in the morning, according to the Branford Fire Department.
