Pleasant and South streets have re-opened after a two-car crash in Willimantic involving icy conditions.
One of the cars, a Dodge Durango,crashed into "a large DOT illumination pole" next to the iconic Frog Bridge (Route 661) at about 9:20 a.m. on Monday.
Icy roads played a factor in the accident, police said.
"The Willimantic Police Department is cautioning motorists this morning to slow down and maintain a safe distance from other motorists as the roadways are still icy." Willimantic Police Cpl. Stan Parizo Jr. said.
The driver and passenger in the car that hit the pole weren't injured. A second vehicle was involved in the crash, but the driver wasn't hurt.
Willimantic police continue to investigate the crash.
