Car Hits Shelton Nail Salon

A car crashed into a nail salon in Shelton.

An 82-year-old Shelton woman drove through the front window of a nail salon when her foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas, according to police.
Elaine McPadden, 82, of Shelton, told police that she was not injured when her black Cadillac went through the front window of Modern Nails, at 10 Huntington Plaza in Shelton around 2:30 p.m., according to police.
She told police that she was pulling into a parking spot when her foot slipped from the brake and onto the accelerator.
Employees and customers were in the salon at the time of the crash, but nobody was hurt, according to police.
Police are investigating and no charges have been filed.
